ICELAND ENGAGEMENT ROADTRIP

ICELAND ENGAGEMENT ROADTRIP

"Sometimes the desire to be lost again, as long ago, comes over me like a vapor. With growth into adulthood, responsibilities claimed me, so many heavy coats. I didn't choose them, I don't fault them, but it took time to reject them. Now in the spring I kneel, I put my face into the packets of violets, the dampness, the freshness, the sense of ever-ness." -mary oliver

Filip and Jagoda are my favorite people in the entire world. Filip is a commercial photographer and Influencer based out of Warsaw. You can check out his rad work on Instagram. Jagoda is a graphic designer. Together they are a dream team of creativity. They quickly made me a friend, sharing stories and food and wisdom like the friends you hope you make when mom drops you off at camp. Spending four days with them was easy and ridiculous and vulnerable and boisterous and quiet and reflective and sleepy and excited. It was everything and nothing because they brought themselves, in love with each other and overflowing with generous curiosity for those around them. Honestly, getting to know them was the single greatest adventure of the entire trip.

And Iceland. Giant waterfalls and wild horses and a recklessly beautiful landscape. Getting the opportunity to travel halfway across the world to tell the love story of two people I admire very much is something I am more grateful for than there are words. What an incredible adventure.

Cheers to the Blanks!
