Blake & Shalana

“No one’s in love like we are.” It’s something Jon and I say to each other all the time. I can’t believe that I am blessed enough to have a love like this. A love that makes everything else pale in comparison. A love that makes my heart sing. A love that makes me fall more and more in love with my Creator. A love that makes me giddy but also more assured of myself. A love that depicts iron sharpening iron, ever pushing me towards better character. A love that makes me laugh and my heart soar. A love that is goofy and deep and meaty and sparkly all in one. And I really believe in my bones that we love each other like no one else can; which is why every new love story we encounter, learn, and document is so deeply beautiful. Because people’s love stories blow me away. As we walked alongside Blake & Shalana, we learned their wonderfully unique story full of whispered reassurances, dreams for the future, and wondrous adventure tales. And going through these photos today made my heart pitter patter; all the excitement! all the giggling! all the love! The way Blake looks at, cares for, listens to, and adores Shalana is a love like no other. The whole day we were following them around with our cameras, Jon and I kept noting how they looked at each other, full of conversations unspoken but understood. It was like they had known each other for forty years though they were both in their twenties. Beyond the decorations and lights and other pretty things, the way they looked at each other was so beautiful, it was my hope the whole time, that I would be able to translate their love for each other. I am so thankful to know these two, and I love that no one is in love like Blake & Shalana. We were honored to celebrate their journey into the mystery known as marriage. Cheers to the Huntingtons!
